The Dig

Well we have been here in this vast
living complex so ancient but not so long ago inhabited. I truly
fear what we might uncover as the former inhabitants just disappeared
some 10 years ago. This place seems to have rooms without end a half
buried monastery of some sort. It appears to have been some kind of
sagely place of study for ascetics in the bits of papers that I have
found as well as a place of science dedicated to elementium
refining. Some of the stupid slave whores that the workers brought
actually used some of the papers to start fires! The stupid little
wenches. They constantly make idle chat and are wandering around the
damn place. It’s just not productive of safe!
I am Erin Crystal and I am almost 36
years old. I feel myself getting older. I am a bumbling spiritual adviser
and medic. A sage and a scholar with a bit of magic in my blood! May
the two moons bless me and the third stay hidden! This is my first
report for the Elementium Adventuring Company. We are here to restart
an ancient ruined elementium refinery here in the wastelands some 12
days northeast of Westfort.

More on that strange journal that I
found. It seems to be mostly talking of day to day life but this
passage is particularly disturbing.
She
is jealous and they are jealous my wife and daughters cannot be
sharing the love I have of her not them they anger me and the anger
is gaining too much to say but I hit her my little one I hit her so
hard her bottom jaw broke and she told her mommy she can do nothing
as I will kill the horses we will stay now because of her we might
have to leave and I must have her love she talks to me here and I
caught myself eating a carcass and garbage full of maggots The others
seem to notice my love for her and are jealous too.
There is an end of the day and I study
the journal. It is gibberish but here is a really sick passage.
I
must kill them for their wombs are not her womb and she talks to me
and tells me that I can have her womb and they must not try to have a
womb so I go to my little one who sees and fears and I kill her in
bed with a rock rock rock and the older one screams and I don’t
kill her but now mi wife mother womb is dead. The older one will help
me make a dress yes I will be her womb and make a dress of braided
flesh from my chest is the best I cut around my waist and make strips
up my chest the older one screams and hates but she will watch feet
nailed to the floor pissing I cut strips to my chest and make breast
of halves of heads of the little one and braid the strips to make a
flesh skin dress and I cannot have a phallus I will cut mine off oh
it hurts and now each ball and push my hand into myself and burn
myself before I bleed out I am her the mother I now have a womb and
she will come to me and we shall have children by one of my brothers
and whoever reads this releases me after death and more death.
Upon
reading this passage a great bang down the hall in the darkness I
swear I saw a bloody thing with breast made of a child’s head split
in two and a “dress” of braided strips of flesh and a gaping
bloody huge hole between “it’s” legs! Then I woke up and burnt
that foul journal.

Well it appears that the Company will
be repairing some old ruins for the company to restart some kind of
ancient Skas machinery. Bad idea I say but as long as no one gets
hurt then it will be okay. I have written out some simple protection
spells that if used with the proper amount of elementium will produce
a protective aura around the workers.
Very curious it seems that there are
over 2723 rooms in this complex when we stopped counting. Why did
anyone build such things? The only problem Jed and his wench went
missing. I instructed everyone to bring food and drink in case of
such an incident but Jed is a prissy spoiled dumbass who should of
stayed in his politician father’s estate but instead he got set up
as a boss. Well anyway he didn’t bring any and he is the one who is
lost.

No word on Jed and Ginny her name is.
The project is going well except that
the head Advisor is not giving me the proper spell incantations just
silly amateur shit. I am sick of him and his attitude. The Lord
Shabbat is very impatient at my progress but I am not a full fledged
wizard liken to Advisor Bonham.

Things go well I have the incantations
and with the elementium I have I can really put protective spells on
people and keep this refinery going. I now have one of the first
rooms past the entrance lobby. How strange it seems to look south
down a hall that seems to have no end.

Well early in the morning around 4: 30
I heard a moaning. I came out and turned on the elemintium lights and
to my horror there she was Ginny all white and blistered. She looked
as if she had been dipped in some caustic as her skin was all puss
white. Her lips were swollen to triple their size and her teeth were
a dark green. She was naked and it looked as if every hair on her
body had been torn out slowly. She just made a deep gurgling noise as
if her lungs were wooded drums filled with boiling flem . She dripped
all I can say is she dripped and came towards me. I began to scream
as any advisor would. The Lord Shabbat came forth and we put her in
an empty room. I sent a messenger to Advisor Bonham but he also
disappeared. I will advise Lord Shabbat to leave this place as soon
as possible. I know that were there is money to be made all are
expendable except the owners…

It has been a bad last few days as it
has been insinuated that I Erin Crystal am incompetent as I do not
write the fucking spells as Lord Shabbat does! I have found out he is
educated in one of the foremost Scholarly Colleges in Kerylnn! His
methods do seem a bit overly scientific and he is a scholar not a
sage but he does know the formulas of the eight elements. A scholar
that practices magic as science? Funny how in the big cities the
Scholars are the same as Sages. That would never happen in Westfort
and he would be quickly taken down and sent back! He tells me that
our silly Westfort battle between sages and scholars are stupid and
that that criminal Tudor the Sage “got what he deserved” and it
was a matter of time before that Purple Cloth bastard Damon Erlich
“got his” right before I used the element of stone to make him
weigh over a thousand pounds crushing his chair and desk leaving him
gasping on the floor. With him gasping on the ground I whispered
“That’s an ol trick I learned from Tudor the Sage. Don’t you
ever say anything about such a great man again!” and then I let him
up. He still is quite angry but I am the Sage not him and he best
remember that! I will have to watch my back as his Master Journeyman
was in the room with his hand on his hilt but he did nothing but I
never turned my back. I don’t trust either one of them.

It is the middle of the month and it
has been raining every day flooding the entire site except for our
offices. Oh my god in the water outside the window some kind of giant
mudfish swimming towards our offices I have to go!

It destroyed the stables and ate all
the horses. We found old man Turner in the one set of rafters. All
the other stable hands are dead eaten by the beast. We are now
trapped here unless we want to walk out of here. I have only the
lightest of my equipment ready to go.

Well the Refinery just started up by
itself! I don’t know what has happened to everyone else the sound
of the Refinery woke me up and it is nearing dark… I have to piece
what has happened.

Well they have me locked up I finally
got my journal back and am writing in it now. The refinery has been
going for awhile and I have been missing out of my mind. They believe
me to be the thing from the darkness that carries away men leaving
only pieces of torn flesh and blood. Trails of gore that go into
solid walls and up into the trees and small cliffs! I told them that
that was silly as I was just a mere man and how could I do such
things but it is I the scapegoat. They are going to stone me in the
morning. It appears that over 70 men have went missing…
Outside my window by the light of the
two moons there she/he it was looking at me! I pissed and shitted my
pants in fear as well as vomited. At the sight of the thing my nose,
ears and eyes have begun to bleed. I am bleeding out of other places
too. What is this evil? I am feeling so tired. I am bleeding ,
covered in filth…

I awake and my cell door is open and
there are only bloody traces of the guards that guarded me. Their
chain mail armor torn apart, broken swords lay around as well as a
twisted musket. A nearly destroyed necromantic love doll meeps and
crawls around the open door of the evidence room. Her beautiful gray
skin carefully stitched together as the Necromatic Sages do. She
looks at me with beautiful blue eyes and yearns for me as that is
what she is made for. Her arms and legs nearly destroyed and her
straw and sawdust stuffing falling out onto the floor. Her oils drip
from necromantic veins as her necromantic heart pumps its last beat.
She will slowly dry out but will never stop her undeath unless
totally destroyed. I walk past the beautiful abomination out to the
refinery.
It is running and there are no people
present. The loud sound of the elementium compressors and pumps churn
away. The air stinks of decay. I pick up a sword and sheath and put
it on my belt. I wash a rusty bit of chain mail and put it on. I
begin to walk out of this place, out of this place back to Westfort.
With me following me is her the mother. She is the Mother of Decay
Shul-Nige. With her are all the souls of the lost and stolen she has
corrupted. Marching ahead is that one man, formerly a father who
embraced the lies she tells and opened the old closed gates. He the
one who is now the Mother’s favored child. Yes they walk behind me
in-between here and the sprit world ready for me to find a dark place
and let them out. Let them out into Westfort. But we must wait for a
great time of troubles and they are near.

On the Kinglish Monarchy
On the
Kinglish Monarchy…
I
stand here to tell you a tell of a Kinglish ship off our coast here
in the fair country of Provincia. We send a great force of knights
with armor and blades of steel, muskets finely shining plated in
silver a shining in the sun. Our knight commander rides fast to the
beach and sees only four. He hails and ask them what business does a
Kinglish dog have on holy Provincia soil? The fat one with the beard
answers and says “ I am Richard! This is Arthur, Elizabeth, and
Mary. I see you only have four hundred men against my four. You
should have brought more!” upon that statement he leapt some 15
feet into the air and decapitates the knight commander with his bear
hands. A cannon is fired and hits Elizabeth square in the right neck
and face knocking her down and exploding knocking the others down.
She gets up her hair and face singeing, her voice screaming and leaps
forward some 30 feet landing onto a knight and tears his horse in
half. She used the lower half of the horse to kill at least 30 more
men before the back half of the horse is pieces. Richard continues on
the killing spree. Arthur draws an ancient sword and charges into
cannon and musket fire getting knocked down many times before
reaching the cannon line and exploding their powder barrels. Arthur
seems unharmed though his clothes are nearly burnt off in the
explosion. All the cannon crew are dead. Mary too leaves many out on
the field dead and once the Knights flee in terror goes about killing
all the wounded save one. He is allowed to live to tell the tale. I
am that man. These are some of the Kinglish Monarchy. Gods of old it
is rumored for they cannot be killed or injured by normal means. It
is rumored that they have been around for as long as the Annahon.
There are thousands of them in the Church of Kingland worshipped as
Living Saints.

Beliefs, Cults, and Orders

the Olde Realm

Granted Powers
For game purposes each
power IS a skill at 0%. If it has a number such as x2 or more the
ability cost 2 times more to study or gain experience in. Either in
belief or training one has leaned to harness these powers. Unlike
many RPGs many of these powers are not as flashy and are low powered
but not all. Most religions will guard their secrets from the masses
and only do spells or miracles for their OWN masses. Religions and
Secret Orders will KILL to protect their secret holy books that grant
one powers. One cannot just take a religious book and begin casting
spells or miracles. One must be a believer. It seems that the gods
blindly grant their followers powers no matter how their religion is
presented. Even if their Priest are not following the tenants. Most
of these powers must be done within the Cathedrals or Churches in
order to work BUT some can be done anywhere such as the terrible
powers of the Wizards of the Eight Elements! Some powers have a
multiplier and are not simple and easy to do as others.
Orthodox
(Orthanio Doxia) Holy Avatarian Church
Most priest, nuns, and
other clergymen have these said powers.
Heal Thy Wounds- By
doing a long prayer of around 30 minutes or more to heal another. The
priest must lay his hands upon the wounded. The amount healed is
equal to the roll.
Banish the Evil- By
praying and chanting a priest may roll his skill and if it succeeds
AND is higher than the evil creature's will it flees.
Visions from Holy
Above- One prays for many hours and receives a vision. x3
Feed the Hungry-
One prays and takes a small amount of food and begins to break it.
The roll is equal to the amount of people fed.
Water to Wine- One
may pray over water and change it to wine. He may change as many
ounces as his roll as long as it does not fail.
Protectors

The
holy order of Knights have these said abilities and some have the
abilites of the priesthood as well.

Order”
Proclaim Alarm and
Wakefulness- One makes himself very alert and full of divine
shout IF he succeeds in his roll. The difficulty is the roll as one
sneaking must roll to succeed and roll higher than the Templar's
result.
Circle Against Evil-
A circle of salt or chalk is made and then a successful roll is the
difficulty of the will of the evil creature.
Bind Ye- One is
bound to the ground and paralyzed upon the word of this priest versus
Might.

Banish Magic and Evil-
By praying and chanting a priest may roll his skill and if it
succeeds AND is higher than the evil creature's will it flees. x2
Reverse Ye Magic-
Any magic cast can be reversed by a successful roll and if the roll
is higher than the Priest. x2

One is protected by a glowing shield of faith that has hit points
equal to a successful roll. x2

One is put into a prison upon a successful roll against one's will.
